At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Your role

In this role you will be working closely with a team of engineers on avionics systems with strong links with Flight control and Hybrid propulsion systems. Directly reporting to the Avionics leader, you will therefore develop avionics systems from concept through design and checkout as well as integration, test, and verification. You will ensure compliance with certification, operational and performance requirements.

Your objectives

Your main responsibilities will be : 

  • Mastering the current avionics architecture and help to design and develop the avionics systems
  • Work on System Description Document (SDD) and Interface control document (ICD)
  • Safety & reliability analysis support
  • Ensure the full integration and interoperability of avionics systems
  • Define associated Verification and Validation means, from digital models to experimental test benches
  • Support ground and flight test and Analyze the test data to verify system performance and functionality
  • Work on the certification plans to EASA standards

Where do we stand? 

You will be entering the team during a crucial part of our development. Full scale testbenches are ongoing while full scale aircraft development is running at full speed with many issues to tackle regarding communications networks and associated developments.

Your profile

The job has been made for you if you have : 🛠

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science, Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields in aerospace systems
  • Preferred to have practical hands-on experience in design, integration and test
  • Experience with HMI and communication
  • Good knowledge and experience with DO-178C, DO-254 and D-O160 standards is a plus
  • Flight testing experience is a plus
  • An experience of CS-23 and CS-27 certification requirements is a plus
